V. Ossipov et al., HPLC ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF FLAVONOIDS FROM WHITE BIRCH BETULA-PUBESCENS LEAVES, Biochemical systematics and ecology, 23(3), 1995, pp. 213-222
Nine flavonoid glycosides were isolated from birch leaves by preparati
ve HPLC and their structures identified by chromatographic (analytical
HPLC), chemical (hydrolysis) and spectroscopic (UV, NMR, MS) techniqu
es. Two acylated compounds: myricetin-3-O-alpha-L-(acetyl)-rhamnopyran
oside and rcetin-3-O-alpha-L-(4''-O-acetyl)-rhamnopyranoside were foun
d in birch leaves for the first time. Flavonoid concentrations were qu
antified by HPLC.
