Abstract
A novel chromone, granulosin (1), has been isolated from the bark of G alipea granulosa. The extract of the bark, as well as granulosin (1), exhibited lethality in the brine shrimp test. The structure of granulo sin (1) as 2-propyl-7,8-(methylenedioxy)chromone was established via s pectroscopic analysis.
