J. Breinholt et al., OXYSPORIDINONE - A NOVEL, ANTIFUNGAL N-METHYL-4-HYDROXY-2-PYRIDONE FROM FUSARIUM-OXYSPORUM, Journal of natural products, 60(1), 1997, pp. 33-35
Oxysporidinone (1), a novel 3,5-disubstituted N-methyl-4-hydroxy-2-pyr
idone, was isolated from fermentations of Fusarium oxysporum (CBS 330.
95) by counter-current chromatography. The structure was determined by
spectroscopic methods including NMR, MS, IR, and UV analysis. Oxyspor
idinone exhibited growth inhibitory activity against several common pl
ant pathogenic fungi.
