S. George et al., PRODUCTION OF PROTEASE BY BACILLUS-AMYLOLIQUEFACIENS IN SOLID-STATE FERMENTATION AND ITS APPLICATION IN THE UNHAIRING OF HIDES AND SKINS, Process biochemistry, 30(5), 1995, pp. 457-462
Cultural conditions have been optimised for the production of protease
s by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens in solid-state fermentation. Maximal e
nzyme activity was produced at 37 degrees C with an aeration of 4 litr
e/min in a laboratory-fabricated horizontal tray reactor. The enzyme p
roduced was used for the unhairing of hides and skins.
