P. Yong et Le. Macaskie, ENHANCEMENT OF URANIUM BIOACCUMULATION BY A CITROBACTER SP VIA ENZYMATICALLY-MEDIATED GROWTH OF POLYCRYSTALLINE NH4UO2PO4, Journal of chemical technology and biotechnology, 63(2), 1995, pp. 101-108
The objective of this work was to study the effect of pH and ionic mat
rix on product release and on the removal of uranyl ion by a Citrobact
er. sp phosphatase enzyme-catalysed reaction. An improvement in the ef
ficiency of uranyl removal was obtained by incorporating ammonium acet
ate (NH4Ac) into the solution. It was confirmed using X-ray diffractio
n (XRD), and other analytical techniques, that the insoluble, cell-bou
nd product was NH4UO2PO4.
