Abstract
At frequencies above about 100 GHz the realization of high frequency c ircuits in quasi-optical technique is advantageous because of low loss . A flexible quasi-optical measurement system is presented, on which t he circuits can be realized quickly without need for difficult and tim e-consuming beam calculations. At first the basic relations for the de sign of the beam waveguide are presented. With the example of an oscil lator measurement setup for the frequency range from 170 to 260 GHz th e practical use of the system is demonstrated. The design and measurem ent of the frequency discriminator, which was also realized in quasi-o ptical technique, is presented more detailed in a separate section.
