CYBERSPACE ON THE WEB - MIRROR WORLDS OF REAL CITIES

This paper presents some views on the future of the information societ y. The authors believe that the World Wide Web will acquire a new role in that it will become a cyberspace containing three dimensional virt ual cities that mirror real cities. People will be able to enter these virtual cities, for example, to obtain information, make reservations , or contact friends. This paper discusses how to construct a city mod el, how to provide information that is customized to suit each individ ual, and several related issues.
