Jps. Vanschagen et al., HIGH-ENERGY GAMMA-RAYS MEASURED IN COINCIDENCE WITH ALPHA-PARTICLES IN THE REACTION F-19-12 AT E(LAB)=121.7 MEV(C), Nuclear physics. A, 583, 1995, pp. 123-126
The yield of gamma-rays emitted in the dissipative reaction F-19 + C-1
2, at E(lab) = 121.7 MeV has been measured in coincidence with alpha-p
articles emitted at theta(lab) = 10 degrees. Comparison with prelimina
ry statistical model calculations shows that assuming only compound nu
cleus formation is not sufficient to reproduce the data. Other mechani
sms have to be included before information on reaction dynamics can be
extracted and definitive conclusions can be drawn.
