Nuclear-rainbow effects in elastic and inelastic scattering and transf
er reactions by the He-3 + C-12 and He-4 + C-12 interactions at E(He-3
) = 98 MeV and E(He-4) = 90 MeV respectively are observed analyzing th
e angular distributions of the H-2,H-3, He-3,He-4 and Li-6 particles.
The data have been analyzed by a near/far-side formalism using Fuller'
s model. It has been shown that the far-side component plays the main
rob in all studied processes. The present investigation proposes a met
hod for the optical model parameter choice for entrance and exit chann
els. We also observe the different characteristics of the rainbow effe
cts and of the shape of the angular distributions for very deep inelas
tic processes (high excitation energies) and transfer reactions.
