Track methods and devices used for studies conducted after radiation a
ccidents an considered. Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTDs) a
re applied for measurements of contamination in soil, water, biologica
l and other objects of alpha-emitting radionuclides, as well as for es
timation of neutron doses by means accident dosimeters. Known radiatio
n accidents (Chernobyl a.o.) and potential emergencies (sunken submari
ne ''Komsomolets'', nuclear reactors) are discussed. Some result or SS
NTD application at after-accident period are presented.
