Abstract
A new multi-detector/multi-purpose electrochemical etching (ECE) chamb er system having special features is introduced in this paper for larg e-scale alpha, radon and neutron dosimetry applications. It has a capa city to simultaneously process 1 to 96 detectors with effective etched diameters of 12 to 40 mm having different geometries (square, rectang le, circle, etc.). A detector when is punched down by sudden discharge s is shown by a LED in the circuit. It takes only half an hour to one hour to set up 96 detectors for processing. The system has good featur es for large-scale processing of ECE track detectors.
