Abstract
Retroviruses are viral agents which are natural and experimental induc tors of leukemias and solid rumors among numerous animal species. In m an, they are implicated as ethiological agents of a specific type of l eukemia, adult-T cell leukemia. Thus is for retrovirus HTLV-I. Another retrovirus, HIV, implicated in AIDS is capable of leading to the form ation of several types of opportunistic tumors, such as non Hodgkin ly mphomas and Kaposi's sarcoma.
