Abstract
TRISO-coated fuel particles have been chosen for the fuel of our 10 MW HTR experimental reactor. SiC is the key component of the coatings fo r TRISO coated particles. In the present work, the study of the effect of the deposition temperature on the density, surface morphology, fra cture surface structure, strength and Young's modulus of the deposited SiC is reported.
