We have measured the low temperature transport and magnetic behavior i
n alpha-(BEDT-TTF)(2)RbHg(SCN)(4) [alpha-bis(ethylenedithio) tetrathia
fulvalene-rubidium-mercury-thiocyanate]. Below 12 K this material is b
elieved to go into a spin density wave state. At lower temperatures, b
elow 1 K, a further transition to a lower resistance state occurs, whi
ch may be a tendency for superconductivity. We have determined the cor
responding T-H phase diagram for the new state, and report shielding e
xperiments which show less than 0.1% diamagnetic effect consistent wit
h filamentary superconductivity. We also consider the effect from the
point of view of a weak anti-localization mechanism.
