TUMOR HYPERTHERMIA WITH FERROMAGNETIC MAT ERIALS

The review of papers containing the results of working out and applica tion of interstitial tumor hyperthermia using ferromagnetic materials is presented. There was given the description of ferromagnetic seeds a nd powders. The advantages and disadvantages of ferromagnetic hyperthe rnia with thermoseeds were noted. On the basis of these data the autho r consider ferromagnetic particles to be more promising for the heatin g of human tumors as compared with ferromagnetic seeds. The main discu table question were raised which are the basis both for the enlargemen t of investigations of ferromagnetic materials field and optimization of ferromagnetic hyperthermia method.
