POSSIBILITY OF INDIVIDUAL RADIOSENSITIVIT Y MODIFICATION OF MALIGNANT-TUMORS BY ARTIFICIAL HYPERGLYCEMIA

The growth dynamics, the degree of morphologic changes ire two rat tum or lines differing in PM-sensitivity, were studied under various doses of irradiation combined with induced hyperglycemia, in early and late stages of tumor disease. A direct relationship between the extent of PH reduction under induced hyperglycemia and radiotherapy effect was a scertained both in experiment and clinical treatment, We propose to us e this parameter for individual prognosis of tumor sensitivity to the radiomodifying effect of induced hyperglycemia.
