Abstract
Results are reviewed on the systematic study of Sigma hypernuclei with (stopped K-, pi+/-) reactions performed by Tokyo group. Formation and decay properties of Sigma hypernuclei obtained from C-12(K-, pi(+)) a nd He-4(K-, pi(+/-)) reactions are summarized. The first observation o f the Sigma hypernuclear bound state (He-4(Sigma)) and information of isospin/spin dependence of Sigma-nucleus interaction from the He-4 dat a are discussed in detail and they are compared with recent theoretica l estimations.
