Abstract
This paper presents an application of the spline strip method based on the first-other shear deformation Sanders shell theory to analyze vib ration of antisymmetric angle-ply laminated cylindrical panels with tw o opposite circumferential edges simply supported and varying boundary conditions on the remaining two straight edges. To demonstrate the ac curacy and convergence of the semi-numerical method, the results are c ompared with those obtained by the classical shell theory and by the f irst-order shear deformation shell theory. Stable convergence and good accuracy are obtained. The effects of the geometric parameters and ma terial parameters on the frequencies of graphite-epoxy laminated cylin drical panels with some boundary conditions are analyzed.
