Abstract
The elastic stress distributions for cylinder-to-cylinder and cylinder -to-hemisphere junctions in pressurized shell structures that have app lication in space-vehicle design, were obtained using closed form solu tion as well as the finite element method. Comparisons are made with p ublished test results. It is found that they are in good agreement wit h each other.
