Abstract
This paper reports an intervention program for a chronic psychiatric p atient living in a kibbutz. It describes a psychotic episode that was treated without hospitalization. The intervention program was based on a combined community psychiatry and systems therapy approach and was community oriented. The implications of the intervention are discussed , focusing on the community level.
