Rt. Wakai et al., VISUALIZATION OF DIPOLE SOLUTIONS TO THE NEUROMAGNETIC INVERSE PROBLEM, International journal of bio-medical computing, 39(2), 1995, pp. 257-262
We have developed a computer program that computes and displays curren
t-dipole solutions to the neuromagnetic inverse problem. The three-dim
ensional positions, orientations, and corresponding magnetic field val
ues of the detection coils can be visualized with respect to a realist
ic representation of the subject's head shape. The topographies of the
experimental data, theoretical fit, and residual field are represente
d without the use of data smoothing or interpolation, allowing more di
rect comparisons between them. A simple method for displaying dipole s
ource location was implemented.
