Abstract
Synthetic (Fe,M)(2)GeS4 thiogermanates have been prepared and equilibr ated at 800 degrees C (M = Mg, Mn, or Zn). Unit cell dimensions for th e orthorhombic olivine (Pbnm) structure are given. Cation partitioning obtained from Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopy data are compared with sim ilar results from the literature for olivines and olivine-related soli d solutions.
