The crystallization behaviour of amorphous melt spun Fe73.5Si15.5B7Cu1
Nb3 was investigated by means of time-resolved X-ray diffraction at hi
gh temperatures. Annealing at temperatures above 510 degrees C leads t
o formation of nanocrystalline Fe3Si in the amorphous matrix. Paramete
rs like the diffusion coefficient, the mean particle size of crystalli
tes and the crystalline volume fraction were estimated to describe the
microstructure and the kinetics of the phase transition at different
temperatures.
