Ti. Morrison et al., POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR MATERIALS RESEARCH AT THE ADVANCED PHOTONSOURCE, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section B, Beam interactions with materials and atoms, 97(1-4), 1995, pp. 515-517
Modern third generation synchrotron radiation facilities are designed
to provide sources of extremely high brilliance. We describe the prope
rties of such brilliant sources that enable optimised experiments to b
e carried out in the field of materials research. In particular, we de
scribe the planned programme and experimental facilities of the materi
als research collaborative access team at the advanced photon source (
APS) currently under construction at the Argonne National Laboratory,
Chicago, USA.
