Phosphorescence of low density polyethylene induced by 6 MeV electrons
was observed in the temperature region 10-285 K. Decay of phosphoresc
ence at temperatures below gamma-relaxation region follows monoexponen
tial equation. Above this transition, for T greater than or equal to 1
69 K kinetics can be described by two term relation. At low temperatur
es phosphorescence life time tau(T) is temperature independent while a
t higher ones tau(T) exhibits strong temperatures dependence. Time res
olved emission, spectrum at T = 20 K is presented. Tentative conclusio
ns are postulated.
