The transfer fraction of Cs-137 to man from ingestion of radioactively
contaminated tea has been calculated. A transfer fraction of 32% was
calculated using the (a, T-1, T-2) parameters of the Cs-137 retention
function recommended in ICRP-30. An alternate method using the K-40 bo
dy burden yielded a transfer fraction of 33.6%.
