The effect of short-term heat treatment at temperatures in the range o
f 130 - 200 degrees C on stereoregularity and molecular mobility in po
ly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films was established. As a result of the heat
treatment, the fraction of syndiotactic and heterotactic structures d
ecreased, and the fraction of isotactic triads increased. The segmenta
l mobility of the polymer chain also increased.
