Abstract
A general expression for the conductivity in the QED(2+1) with nonzero fermion density in a uniform magnetic field is derived. It is shown t hat the conductivity is entirely determined by the Chem-Simons coeffic ient: sigma(ij) = epsilon(ij)C and that it shows discrete steps as a f unction of the chemical potential and the magnetic field.
