Abstract
Effect of cytozyme (0, 0.5, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25% soln) and Bavistin (0, 0 .025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.10% soln) on nodulation and in vivo nitrate reduc tase (NR) activity in the primary leaves of Vicia faba was studied in 1992. Cytozyme showed stimulatory effects up to 1% concentration where as Bavistin had inhibitory effect on both nodulation and nitrate reduc tase activity. The adverse effect of Bavistin was gradually overcome w ith age of the plant. Almost similar effect was also observed on fresh wt. df leaf and dry wt. of nodule.
