Abstract
Catalysis with soluble complexes in biphasic media has made a major im pact in applications of homogeneous catalysts due to easy separation o f catalysts from products. In this paper an overview of important deve lopments in gas-liquid-liquid catalytic reactions has been presented. The types of biphasic catalysts, their distinguishing features, indust rial applications and reaction engineering aspects have been discussed .
