Abstract
Interpersonal psychotherapy for depressed adolescents is an innovative , brief psychotherapy designed to meet the developmental tasks of adol escence and to address the clinical aspects of adolescent depression a nd treatment barriers. It was the first psychotherapy for this populat ion specified in a treatment manual and is one of the few psychotherap ies undergoing rigorous scientific testing to assess efficacy.
