Abstract
In the title compound, C8H8N2O3, the ring system conforms to an almost planar configuration. The mean values of the two short and four long C-C bond distances in the six-membered ring are 1.339 (8) and 1.450 (8 ) Angstrom, respectively. In the oxime group, the bond dimensions are C-N 1.301(7), N-O 1.361 (6) and C-N-O 112.5 (4)degrees. The quinonic C =O bond distance is 1.234 (7) Angstrom, which is similar to the C=O bo nd length [1.222 (7) Angstrom] of the amide group. The crystal structu re is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonding.
