Abstract
The structure of (2,2,3,3,4,4,4-heptafluorobutyloxycarbonyl)]phenyl 4- undecyloxybenzoate, C29H33F7O5, adopts a slightly bent conformation. M olecules are aligned in the same direction and orientation as in an S- A smectic-like molecular arrangement. It is, therefore, a precursor of a ferroelectric phase.
