Jx. Li et al., EFFECT OF CHEMICAL DIFFUSIVITY ON THE PEAK SHAPES IN FLOW-INJECTION ANALYSIS WITH SAMPLE OR REAGENT INJECTION, Analytica chimica acta, 310(2), 1995, pp. 329-336
This paper deals with the difference in residence time of the two reag
ent/sample interface peaks produced in a single channel manifold. This
difference in residence time is explained on the basis of a dispersio
n model, and the relevant factors were studied. It was found that in b
oth sample injection (SI) and reagent injection (RI), in addition to t
he relative reagent and sample concentrations and injection volumes, t
he diffusivities of the sample and the reagent will affect the peak sh
ape and detection sensitivity. The sensitivity in peak height measurem
ents and peak area measurements in SI and RI are compared and explaine
