A 73-year-old man who had suffered from multiple lipomatosis since the
age of 25 developed peripheral neuropathy. His father and 4 of his 6
siblings as well as 3 nephews were likewise affected with multiple lip
omatosis, consistent with an autosomal-dominant made of inheritance. T
he co-occurence of familial multiple lipomatosis and neuropathy may be
more than a chance association since neuropathy has frequently been r
eported in a related phenotype, multiple symmetric lipomatosis.
