Abstract
This paper is dedicated to the theoretical approach to the problem of modelling quasi-optical launchers of plasma waves in the lower-hybrid range of frequencies, when a gaussian beam is the incident field. Nume rical results are presented and discussed comparing the cases of a gau ssian beam and a plane wave as an incident field [1].
