Abstract
New mechanisms or the appearance of chaos in a ring solid-state laser are identified. The results are given of experimental and theoretical investigations of dynamic and spectral characteristics of such a laser . The appearance of dynamic chaos attributed to parametric interaction s between self-modulation and relaxation fluctuations.
