An. Kucherov, TRANSIENT CLARIFICATION OF A WATER AEROSO L IN THE CASE OF THERMAL-BLOOMING OF AN OPTICAL BEAM, Kvantovaa elektronika, 22(3), 1995, pp. 253-257
The moisture approximation is used in a study of transient clearing of
a water aerosol when droplets are evaporated by an intense laser beam
in the presence of a cross wind. Coordinate distributions of the beam
intensity and moisture are obtained between the moment at which the b
eam begins to act and the attainment of a steady state. The dependence
s of the intensity of the beam transmitted, aerosol medium on the scal
ing parameters (representing aerosol evaporation or clarification, bea
m attenuation and thermal blooming) are derived. A comparison is made
with experimental and theoretical results obtained by other authors.
