Mq. Zhang et al., EFFECT OF A POLYARYLETHERKETONE-BEARING BULKY SUBSTITUENT ON THE NONISOTHERMAL CRYSTALLIZATION KINETICS OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE, Thermochimica acta, 257, 1995, pp. 183-188
The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of polyphenylene sulfide (
PPS) and its blends with polyaryletherketone-bearing phthalidylidene g
roup (PEK-C) was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. Th
e experimental data were evaluated quantitatively. It was found that t
he blend of PPS incorporating 10 wt% PEK-C has the maximum crystalliza
bility. The mechanism involved in the effect of PEK-C on PPS crystalli
zation behaviour is proposed.
