Abstract
The most important methods of isolation, identification and quantitati on of plant and animal allergens are briefly described and critically discussed, including both chemical procedures and biological tests. Sp ecial emphasis is placed on the role of high-performance separation me thods. Principal allergens and the procedures for their analysis are s ummarized.
