Hr. Blank et al., PRESSURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE ELECTRIC-FIELD GRADIENT IN SB AND SB(1-X)M(X)(M=IN, ZN, GE, PB, CD, SN) AT THE SITE OF CD-111, Zeitschrift fur Physik. B, Condensed matter, 97(4), 1995, pp. 493-497
Using the Cd-111-TDPAC (time differential perturbated angular correlat
ion) method, the pressure dependence of the electric field gradient (E
FG) in Sb and Sb(1-x)M(x) (M = 1n, Zn, Ge, Pb, Cd, Sn) was investigate
d. The application of a phenomenological ansatz for the parametrisatio
n of the pressure and temperature dependence of the EFG made it possib
le to combine temperature data gained in former studies [1], [2] with
the pressure dependent data presented in this paper. The resulting pre
ssure dependence of - 2 +/- 0.2 MHz/kbar is shown to be independent of
concentration and element of admixture. Results for the volume and ex
plicit temperature dependence agree with existing information on the m
ixed system Sb(1-x)M(x) (M = 1n, Zn, Ge, Pb, Cd, Sn); the investigatio
n of the EFG in Sb(1-x-y)M(x)Pb(y) showed that the resulting EFG may b
e interpreted as the weighted sum of the individual contributions of t
he two metals.
