Fh. Ferwerda, CLONAL PROPAGATION OF GALANGA [LANGUAS-GALANGA (L) STUNTZ] THROUGH TISSUE-CULTURE, The Journal of agriculture of the University of Puerto Rico, 78(3-4), 1994, pp. 147-152
Buds of rhizomes from greenhouse grown galanga plants were excised and
propagated clonally through tissue culture. The medium consisted of M
urashige and Skoog (MS) salts, vitamins, 2% sucrose and 2 mg/L 6-benzy
laminopurine (BA). Adventitious and axillary shoots were produced by r
epeated subculture at 4-week intervals. The rate of increase per expla
nt was calculated conservatively to be four plants per plant per 4-wee
k cycle.
