Abstract
The title compound crystallizes in the cubic space group Pa (3) over b ar with the lattice constants a = 1326.9(1) pm and Z = 4. The Sn(CH3)( 3) groups are fivefold disordered and the tin atoms occupy the edges o f a nearly regular pentagon-dodecahedron statistically. The average C- z-Sn bond length is 216.2 pm and the average Sn-C-p bond length is 208 .8 pm. The structure was refined to R(1) and wR(2) values of 0.043 and 0.070, respectively.
