Abstract
This paper discusses the principles for constructing extended nonscann ed polychromatic systems for transmitting a two-dimensional optical im age over a limited number of optical fibers. Results are given from ex perimental studies of the resolution of a prototype of the system. Met hods for perfecting this class of optical data-transmission systems ar e determined.
