Abstract
A new ECG data reduction method based on a double logarithmic quantisa tion of the ECG Walsh spectrum is presented. The proposed solution, th eoretically justified by the decay characteristics of the spectrum ene rgy content at high spectral index, is proved to be fast and efficient .
