H. Yokokawa et al., CHEMICAL THERMODYNAMIC STABILITIES OF ELECTRODE-ELECTROLYTE INTERFACES OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE ELECTROCHEMICAL-CELLS, Solid state ionics, 78(3-4), 1995, pp. 203-210
The chemical stabilities of electrode-electrolyte interfaces have been
investigated for the following two cases: (1) interaction between ytt
ria-stabilized zirconia electrolyte and platinum electrode is selected
as an example to confirm the validity of the present approach; (2) in
teraction between beta ''-alumina electrolyte-molybdenum electrode in
AMTEC (alkali metal thermoelectric convertor): the chemical potential
diagrams for the Na-Al-Mo-O system have been constructed to examine th
e transfer of sodium in the electrolyte-electrode interface vicinity a
s functions of partial pressure of oxygen and sodium.
