B. Pecquenard et al., EPR IDENTIFICATION OF LIXV2O5 PHASES GENERATED BY CHEMICAL AND ELECTROCHEMICAL LITHIUM INTERCALATION IN V2O5, Solid state ionics, 78(3-4), 1995, pp. 287-303
EPR of V-IV species is used to identify the different LixV2O5-phases (
alpha, epsilon, delta, gamma) obtained by chemical intercalation of li
thium in V2O5 and to study the evolution of V2O5 cathodes upon electro
chemical lithium intercalation, which is characterized by two differen
t behaviors depending on the composition range. For 0 < x < 1, the ins
ertion is topotactic and reversible. For x > 1, the lack of reversibil
ity arises from the gamma-phase and free VO2+ ions.
