Abstract
A technique for the design of a two-layered wave absorber for cylindri cal objects using an expanded polystyrene mired carbon coating is pres ented. The concentrations of the mired carbon in the two absorbing lay ers and their thicknesses are determined from the design specification s. Design charts for the wave absorber for TE and TM polarizations are calculated, and their wideband absorbing characteristics are presente d. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
