Shape memory alloys have been investigated intensively through the las
t years but still technical applications are very limited. Beside the
most used NiTi, Cu-Zn-Al and Co-Al-Ni shape memory materials new alloy
s based on Gu-Al-Mn have been developed which possess better memory-pr
operties than the conventional Go-based alloys and therefore their tec
hnical importance will increase.
