Am. Kaplan et al., ON THE POSSIBLE ROLE OF MOBILE DEFECTS IN THE LONG-RANGE ELECTRON-TRANSFER IN SOLIDS, Chemical physics letters, 240(4), 1995, pp. 291-295
A model of the long-range (> 2 nm) tunneling transfer of electrons fro
m donor to acceptor in solids by mobile charge carriers (structural de
fects, impurity-dissolved or adsorbed molecules) is suggested. This mo
del may be applied to the description of the catalysis of redox reacti
ons with electron transfer in the bulk or at the surface of solids.
